Re: Accessing Star Ratings from Applescript

<r>           Yes. The script in question uses "browser items of window" to get the file list to operate on. It already uses "get file iptc" and "set file iptc" on files in that list. I'm looking for something like that. I was able to work around it for my most recent project by adding the star coun...

Color shift on batch save

<t>I have a number of bath scripts that crop/resize and save images as new JPEG files, and have noticed I'm getting a significant color shift from the original. I also get the shift using "convert & modify" with no batch. - I reduced the script until ALL the actions were removed, and still get t...

Re: Camera download folder name (was Welcome me to the list)

<t>Oh! Excellent! The "International" settings will allow me to choose the seperator, so I can choose "-" instead of "/" and be happy, and I can even make it yy-mm-dd so it will also sort the way I want. Thank You. Re: Camera download folder name (was Welcome me to the list)

<t>I uploaded my settings screen snapshot to LomickaSettings.pdf in the Files section. If I change my setting to "selected folder", it then asks me for a folder name of my choosing, which does get around the problem nicely. Being lazy, I am using the second option, which uses the current date and fi...

Re: Welcome me to the list

<t>It never asks me for a folder, it always puts them in "Photos", however I see now that that is a setting. > When I click download, (in the "extra prefs" screen for downloads), a save dialogue opens > & the third-party app called Default Folder X comes into play and automatically selects > the...

Re: Camera download folder name (was Welcome me to the list)

<t>I disagree, as the individual file names of the photos are fine, it is the folder name that is a problem for DOS file systems. The name for today is "3/6/06 film 1", the "/" is not allowed on DOS file systems. This does not come from the camera card, it could not, as the camera card is DOS format...

Re: Folder names for camera download (was Welcome me to the list)

<t>Well, yes, of course I could change the folder name to something more acceptable to DOS, but that is a tedious extra step for every download. If there is no way to change the default, I will incorporate the rename into my scripts. My camera download settings are the default, except for I enabled ...
