Re: GraphicConverter 8.8.2 (1367) Hangs
<t>It is probably not directly related, but I find various versions of GC including the latest have tended to hang for up to a minute or more when you start to edit a large 19MB RAW file using Adjust. Even with 16GB of RAM, all cores go to 100% in the Activity Monitor with the spinning cursor visibl...

Re: full screen slide show
<t>Steve, have you checked the General preferences "Display Content"? - I use "Fill screen, shrink or expand to fit". I found this also affected the Slideshow display of images. I haven't used the slideshow for a while, but I am very impressed by the new additional features in the top of screen menu...

Re: Rotate Other Value With Line
<t>I am now using build 93 and both the 'Rotate Other Value with Live Rotation ...' and the Command-Option-4 method already mentioned leave the straightened image at a zoom value of -1% or less: at first I thought the image had been zapped and left totally grey, until I saw the zoom ratio had squeez...

Re: - causes *other!* app windows invisibility?
<t>I wonder whether this is not actually just part of a wider System bug. While working in one of several application windows I have open, I often directly left click on a desktop file to use the "Quick Look" facility - the preview window very frequently does not appear.Clicking on the desktop to ma...

Re: [ANN] GraphicConverter 6.6b32
<r>Hi Thorsten,Thanks for the recent notification of updates.I also wanted to let you know that the mysterious effect I have been having since version 6.0 with the 'Sharpen Luminance' filter (the image was darkened and saturated after using the filter - my emails of 30/10/07 and 16/08/08) now seems...

I had the same crash problem with the debug version - the 'regular' works fine. Mike

Re: Gamma shift between Quicktime and GC
<t>I wonder whether this can be linked to my problem, Thorsten, of some Core Image filters such as Sharpen Luminance producing darker images after use? Is this maybe something to do with the inbuilt Apple colour management architecture from system 10.4 onwards??? Did something change with 10.5? Mike...

screensaver
Can't see the problem - make a large JPG (3000 x 3000 fills up to a 24" iMAC), fill it with black and save with any name you feel like in a new folder - go to screensaver in OSX prefs and choose that folder as the screensaver folder! Black screen! Am I missing something? Cheers, Mike

Re: B&W reduction darkening
<t>I don't know if it is related, but with the last few versions (6.0.3, 6.0.4) I have had the "sharpen luminance" filter darkening the image once again - I have to go back and turn up the brightness afterwards. Occurred about 9-12 months ago for first time and I told Thorsten - I thought it was a '...
