Sometimes a simple action as moving a single image to the trash takes more than a minute staring at the spinning cursor. I do have some 5,000 images in the folder (yeah i'm lazy about file maintenance)... Ideas? GC 8.2 964 OSX 10.7.4

Often when I select a (normal looking) thumbnail in the browser, the preview pane shows the complete image for an instant, and then the image appears in the pane in part, with the lower part greyed out. Anyone else notice this?

<t>GC 8.1 (809) will not run on my iMac. Actually it will run once after deleting prefs and reinstalling GC. Any change to an image and it becomes 'not responding'. Any attempt to run GC after that stops with the beach-ball cursor and before any crash log can be generated (at least I can't find one)...
