Perhaps I'm being very slow but I've never understood the Despeckle… function or how it's supposed to work - it doesn't seem to be mentioned in the manual anywhere.
My understanding is that it is supposed to remove "dust" marks from images?
I'm clearly doing something wrong as what it does when I use it is add black or white marks to the image and not even in any way much related to dust marks. It typically adds an arc of marks across the image …
Can somebody explain how it should be used, please

Re: Effects -> Despeckle
Despeckle is designed to remove dust from black & white scan.
It does currently not works for a color image.

Re: Effects -> Despeckle
Thank you
I've been struggling off and on for some years to try to get Despeckle … to work. It would be helpful if there was a paragrapgh in the manual explaining it only works with B&W images or the operation was simply not available for colour images …
